This blog post covers two Easter Weekend Festivities, April 18th and April 20th respectfully. All in the name of enjoying a lovely bike ride, catching Pokemon, enjoying the warming of the spring season, and to prevent cabin fever from setting in. I’m already locked up in the house far too much from either work stresses, the boring nature of Ottawa, or even seasonal effects. I’m happy the E-Bike I recently obtained allows me to venture wherever I desire, and happily so.
My first trip had me leaving the house fairly late (6 PM) to hunt for a shiny Snorunt. I felt agitated I was hiding away in the home without doing anything worthwhile, especially with my E-bike sitting in my room. I had to 100% head out, even if briefly. I desired to find out what the Experimental Farm was like after all these (5+ years).
My second trip was loosely more of the same, if more structured in a set path to hunt for a shiny Snorunt. I failed to either encounter a Snorunt, let alone capture one in Pokemon Violet, hence my strong desire for an actual outing in Pokemon GO. I desired “A” (singular) shiny Snorunt, something I would capture sooner or later, something I viewed as easier in Pokemon GO. I still made my way towards the storm reservoir, eventually gravitating towards the Experimental Farm. I feared my phone’s battery dying out, as it had along the Ottawa River bike path pathway between Mudlake and Westboro. Desired to head for a rode “well traveled”, now knowing what my bike was capable of. The cold air still drained my battery, cutting my time shorter than I desired. I still captured my Shiny Snorunt, if earlier than expected. Was a good cycling moment.
Happy Easter!
I happily obtained a Shiny Snorunt for my Easter, and I’m overly proud of that fact! Thank you, RNG Gods and dieties! *praying hands emoji*
(I’m well aware of how the Left-Wing lunatics have been vandalizing, mocking, and tainting the image of God, Jesus, and anything religious with profane, vile, and genuinely disgusting mannerisms. Perversely reenacting Jesus’s crucifixions’, humping the Jesus figure, especially in a gay mannerism. The LGBTQ crowd, the Californian crowd, and all the lunacies of the Left-Wing activists gone bat-shit insane. I’m happy I hadn’t interacted with them on any of my bike rides. Jackasses. I’m not outright religious, I do however respect religon from a distance. Both Christianity and Japanese shinto religion. I’m simply saddened to constantly see Left-Wing individuals intentionally sabotaging everything out of sheer boredom.)
April 18th – Quick Pokemon Shiny Hunt at Experimental Farm:
A guy on a bike ventured towards my desired location, taking in the scenery, maps, warnings, and detours. I ventured closer towards these signs, to which a pair of older ladies noted the area was closed. I’m aware, I’m only photographing and studying the map displayed at this entrance.
“I desire to look at the map”, I noted to the older ladies.
Leaving the area to seek out more Pokestops for Pokeball restocking and shiny Snorunt attempts. I’m well aware of what I’m doing is on the dangerous side, I however attempt to stay as safe as possible. I attempt to follow the bike path rules as best I can, all the while attempting to capture Pokemon via Pokemon GO. Just tap, check them out, and leave. I do not capture on the go. If I have to capture, I stop. I pull to the side, capture, and continue again after doing my safety checks.
You can also note the darkening of the daylight. As noted previously, I belatedly left the house for a quick trip, one leading me into the Experimental Farm for a quick exploration and Pokemon item (Pokeballs) restocking attempt.
Another older guy was walking around while I was attempting to shiny-hunting for a Snorunt. Basically a special version of a normal Snorunt being blue, not brown coloured. I’m mostly certain the guy overheard me swearing how I was unable to neither encounter, nor capture a shiny Snorunt. Possibly assumed I was crazy. I was more frustrated than anything.
Satisfied in a certain manner, I felt it was time to gradually make my way back home. It was becoming darker, I lingered too long, heading back the way I came.
A few folks came and went, even passing by me in at a gradual pace. They were checking the area out, one also with a bike light on their bike. One was more impatient than the other.
I was also frustrated by how my phone disconnected from a data point. I was unable to capture Pokemon in Pokemon GO, let alone notify my friend via Discord of my status in the area. I was disconnected from the internet, as I had been a few times in Japan via Docomo Wi-Fi gadget. Once recovered, I felt a stronger urge to race back to base, mainly for safety reasons. New bike, rough neighborhood area with varying levels of crackheads to pass by.
From this point onwards I basically sped. I cycled between 25-32 KM/H for safety reasonings. I was passing by a rough neighborhood, ones with potheads, crackheads, and people who I don’t trust, hence my speed. I sped my way from one end to the next, slowing down only for Pokemon, Pokestops, and the eventual curve noting the safety.
I was surprised, amazed, yet disappointed I would obtain a duplicate shiny of a Pineco. I felt it read my mind, especially with fears coming to fruition. My concerns became reality, such as obtaining duplicates, no shiny Snorunts, and how I already obtained a shiny Pineco while my father was still alive prior to 2020. I recall obtaining my special initial shiny Pineco on Maitland Avenue and Duncan PL. Basically next (near) to a McDonalds on Maitland and Carlingwood Avenue.
This second Pineco was caught behind Carlington Park while on the bike path. A few teens (guys and girls) heading east, and a few other folks in the area. It was an awkward moment.
Took a few more detours, a few more routes, to end up with nothing. Only some stares aimed my way because of my bike.
I was disappointed with my Pokemon capturing journey, attempting to make up for it in Pokemon Violet. Attempted to make the most of the Swarm mechanic to obtain more shiny Pokemon, something which mostly worked in my favour. I could barely focus, eventually passing out into numerous micro-sleep segments. If people desired me to do something, I was unable to. I was unable to focus, all thanks to how brutal Thursday was on my body.
I was overly happy, even relieved to have crossed off a shiny Mankey off my list. I had initially desired to seek it out in Pokemon GO, now no longer putting that Pokemon on high priority to do so. Scyther? A nice welcomed surprise, one I obviously took advantage of. My initial favourite Pokemon while growing up as a kid, one I happily obtained for nostalgic factor. Not one, but two awesome shiny Scythers! One shall eventually be evolved into a Scizzor.
I also initially assumed Scythers would be Yellow-golden, something I was proven wrong on. All those potential missed opportunities in both Pokemon Arceus and Violet. Thankfully, I don’t have to worry about that anymore. I saved my own behind.
Was a good night, if an overly sleepy one. My friend attempted to play Pokemon Leaf Green, he eventually gave up on it. We had a brief Pokemon night. Too distracted.
And that is where I had to end the session. I was too tired, too sleepy, and I went straight to bed. Pure exhaustion, pure pain, and weird stressful sensations. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz~
April 20th – Happy Easter!
Again, Happy Easter! I’m aware Left-Wing political activists hate religion with all their brainless passion, one must still stay respectful to tradition and actual authentic human dignity. One must respect Jesus and God, not mock them both by dancing on their statues like the faggots that they are (View California’s gay dance, fully disrespecting Jesus and Christianity both. Degradation of society. I digress, I didn’t come here to vent, nor be anti-Left-Wing…. I came here to note how I enjoyed this day, especially with Pokemon shiny hunting.
I had to go out today, especially seeing Snorunt still spawning in the area. I needed my shiny Snorunt, it was my main mission for the day! I had to!
I couldn’t end my trip there, I had to keep adventuring. I had to make various rounds before returning back home, especially to prevent cabin fever from settling in. I eventually made my way back to the storm water resoviour area, a place where a guy greeted me. He also had a folding E-Bike, a model I was also eying. He sadly forgot his drone’s battery, though we conversed a bit about British Columbia, about Japan, drones, what he had planned with his drones, and how he worked for various companies to make drone footage of. Had a decently awesome conversation. He noted my bike specs, even how I should upkeep it. I must have still been exhausted, I could barely keep up with his conversation. He happily noted he was from British Columbia, happily in Ottawa for various drone stuff. He has a drone license, etc.
He left towards the Experimental Farm, myself stuck capturing an image of Snorunt, my bike, and wondering where to go next. I debated about going elsewhere, leaning of heading to where I initially desired, the same place he desired to go. I, for Pokemon reasonings, took a detour to get there. Obviously. I needed more Pokemon to spawn on my Pokemon radar.
A mother and her kids were also in the area, something I tried to stay out of their way the best I was able to. One of their kids kept zooming around on a bike. A good day to do so.
I desired to travel around at a swifter pace, hence the sudden jump towards the Experimental Farm. I’ve already documented various areas, hence the sudden jump from one area to the next.
I may have also unknowingly frustrated a cyclist behind me. Never knew she was behind me, not until I heard gear changed behind me. I assumed my bike may have broken, it was that noticeable. I was unable to stop, especially with someone in front of me. I kept going, up until the lights, forgetting the loud bike gear changing ever happened. I failed to put 2 and 2 together to make 4 (2+2=4 analogy).
I also noticed a few bugs in the area. Certain black dots catching my eyes, some even hitting me, one to which I had to swipe at my face. Little hard objects hitting my face. I fear it’s insect-breeding season now….
(In retrospect: I see nothing wrong with my bike. Nothing appeared to have fallen off, nor do I see missing reflectors. I may have heard a violently shifting gear from a bike I failed to realize was behind me.)
I only now noticed we are not allowed to fly drones over this area. Shame. I can’t even fly my drone even if I desired, it’s in a strict no-fly zone, especially with the ORNG helicopter helipad hospital service nearby. The B.C guy I met earlier desired to fly drones, even with his license, probably not even allowed to do so over here. Maybe he has a way, who knows.
This ACA345 flight was coincidentally caught in the moment. I was tracking the Calgary flight, something which led me to track the Vancouver flight. I saw it taxiing on the flightradar24 app, something I followed, if briefly having lost it for some weird reasoning. It eventually took off, I tracked it, especially seeing it strangely (surreal) take off. I saw it appear from the ground itself, not the sky, to which I immediately took photos of. It was closer than I assumed it to be. The whole moment felt like something out of a dream. It failed to register as reality.
I swear! The way it strangely appeared from the ground was highly surreal. Once it was airborne everything was normal.
(Note: What makes these Vancouver flights special? Loose Japanese vibes, happy 2022 Vancouver trip memories, and how Vancouver actually feels like a proper nation’s capital than Ottawa does. It feels like a real Canada, if with an Asian twist to things. Sure, it has Left-Wing brainrot, retardation, LGBTQ perversions, but everything Asian, Japanese, and English-Canadian makes up for it. They’re far more proud of their Ferries, trains, and Skytrain.)
Anything tied, and related to Vancouver is awesome. I always keep a special eye out for it. That, and some Halifax flights. Neat stuff.
With that, I focused my attention back to Pokemon hunting, shiny-checking, and eventually capping out at my April monthly pass to finally obtain a chance in capturing the legendary Pokemon – Xerneas. Shiny Snowrunt and Xerneas were thw two reasons I was out today.
I had to continue to journey towards the garden area, especially to an open field portion where I could happily show of Xerneas with pride. Xerneas is a big beast.
I haven’t really played Pokemon from 2020-2025 because of space, burn-out, and the tediousness of it. Why now? Because of Japan 2023, and because of obtaining Pokemon I can only obtain in Pokemon GO. I desire to transfer whatever I’m able to into Pokemon Home, hence my Pokemon GO and Violet pushes. I only desire to store special, legendary, and hard-to-obtain Pokemon, especially the shiny versions.
Satisfied, I was desiring to return home. I desired to watch the ‘Battle of Ontario’ hockey game, one which failed to entertain both Ottawa and Toronto. Ottawa’s Ottawa Senators hockey team failed heavily, and it reflects at how retarded Ottawa is as a city. Focuses more on cheap earnings, poor roster, and LGBTQ nonsense than it does with actual professionalism, results, and sportsmanship. Buy low, expecting high-end results. Doesn’t work like that. I’m not saying Toronto is any better, it still sucks overall, hence my constant hype toward Vancouver, and anything Japanese. Ottawa agitates me with how ghetto even the upscale areas appear. Ottawa needs more middle-class areas, especially in low-income areas. This goes for housing, transit, hockey teams, etc. Everything has to be upscaled, and harshly.
Even Pokemon GO suffers, especially with how they’ve downgraded the characters to be “politically correct” (PoriKore). Fake results and fake improvements in the name of fake diversity. Screw off….. I had more fun cycling than I did watching scripted, political hockey games.
Satisfied, I zipped back straight home. No more detours, just straight home. I followed the pathway across the street, into the next Experimental Farm, through the rough low-income neighborhood, up towards Carlington Park area, and etc. Maybe a few more detours, I however looped back and headed home. I had some slight hope I would have obtained one final shiny, whatever that may have been. Nothing happened. Only a few more curious onlookers, one concerned elderly guy, and an overly bright sunset blinding me from the left side, as I back-tracked to base. My phone was also threatening to die on me, hence my rush to head back home. I returned to 8% battery left. I also blame the cooler temperatures (+5 & +8), feeling colder than it should.
I desired to watch the Ottawa Senators vs Leafs Battle of Ontario Hockey game. Never did, and wasn’t encouraged to do so, especially after my friend desired to watch WWE Wrestling. Coincidental moments, demoralized moments, and Blue Archive ‘Micro-sleep’ moments, as had been done to me with Pokemon Violet. I’m too exhausted to do anything. Canada pisses me off with its heavy Left-Wing political rhetoric, yet the scenery always stays pleasing. Nature is healing, just not Ottawa’s Left-Wing political corruption.

I always find joy in Anime, and anything hobby related. Japan was bliss, traditional, respectful, and courteous. It was also nice meeting the British Columbia guy, he was awesome. Hope he managed to do what he desired. I may be bias in saying this, but roughed-up British Columbian residents appear far friendlier. I guess that goes for any true native-born Canadian’s, especially of the white-skinned variety. Recalling all my moments being approached by people, they always appeared to be white British Columbians, or true Ottawa-Born white natives. You know, real people. This includes Asians, and also the ‘Crazy Asians’.
Bonus – Bonus Images:
Just some extra images and photos to make note of, especially not relating to April 18th, nor 20th.
I’m always happy with Japan, it allowed me to travel wherever, whenever, and how I desired. I had more freedom there with their transportation than I ever shall in Canada, or even Ottawa. I feel like a bird trapped in a cage in Canada, and I’ll always note such a thing. Even with a bike, I still feel trapped in Ottawa because certain neighborhoods are no-go zones, others are too far, or no functioning LRT, or no proper Japanese-level of common-sense practices. I can only travel to certain areas, and only to certain ‘zones’. I’m always frustrated with Ottawa’s low-effort nonsense. They care more about destroying their own city, about Left-Wing LGBTQ cult nonsense, and low-effort projects. Nothing major ever being done properly, nor done in the a Japanese higher-standard mannerism. It’s always low effort.
Japan was bliss, and I admire that. I also admire when Ottawa has its few authentic, natural moments, such as cycling through various scenic routes in the city. One of the few redeeming moments of Ottawa.
