I’ve waited days, and maybe a few hours, to ride my newly obtained e-bike. I had to wait for my work to end, for days to pass, and for the weather to finally be proper enough to allow me to ride. Granted, it was still chilly, windy, and with the occasional snow flurries snowing in the area causing some headaches. This was a two-birds-with-one-stone situation – 1) Pokemon GO to hunt for shiny Snorunts, & 2) To test out my new Ebike, the BK6M Hitway. Even if the weather was still “trashy” (winter oriented), the Ebike made everything glorious. Riding my bike was so much fun! I loved it! The maiden voyage trip of my bike using the NCC trails.
(Disclaimer: If you spot any grammatical errors, skips, or anything of the sort should keep in mind I’ve rushed this blog posting out with time-pressures on my hands. Work pressures, life-tasks, gaming desires, etc. I may have also caught a cold from how chilly, windy, and slightly snowy it was.)
Satisfied, and hoping nobody would yell at me for riding my Ebike on the bikepath, I ventured further. Everything was still a learning process as I fumbled with the assist settings, the cruise control, and the notches (gears), and gear button on the bike. I was trying to get used to everything. The initial riding around was funky. It was weird, though the longer I stayed on the bike, the better it became. The more I familiarized myself, the more entertaining it became.
I desired to go either towards Andrew Haydon Park, or even downtown, construction willing. I crossed the street. I shifted assist levels, eventually braking to allow myself to observe, capture, and document the nearby LRT railway still under construction. Why was this this fence open? I was tempted to explore closer towards the rails, greatly fearing I would be yelled at (scolded) for being on private property. I stuck around the implied limits of the fencing snapping Pokemon GO related images.
An older gentleman was walking by in a red jacking. We’ve constantly stared at one another in a constant on-off manner. I kept cycling between camera mode and Pokemon GO.
Mostly satisfied, I had to now figure out how to cross from one side to the next. I had to make sense of what they desired of us, and how to navigate the intersections around here. Found an intersection, crossed it, and had my real fun with my bike. The hills around Iris is one of the reasons why I desired a BK6M bike. 😉
Satisfied, I made my way back down the way I came, down the bridge, looping around towards the Ottawa River. I had to stop at a car on ramp area, feigning playing Pokemon GO, even if I was playing it. Nothing was important in Pokemon GO, even if I gave the illusion it was. Once clear, I activated my bike’s throttle and bolted off towards Mud Lake.
I’m thankful to the guy in the grey/silver van who allowed me to cross. I tried to give him a nod in appreciation. Maybe I waved, though can’t remember. The moment was a rush.
I also stopped at a nearby power station for an apartment building, an area I used to reside in from roughly 2006-2020, an area which brought back overly fond and heavy memories. I miss my parents, but life has to move on. I felt both at home, yet out of place. I felt I was time-warped. I felt out of place, a time-traveler, and a foreigner in my own city, even if I resided in the area for a lengthy amount of time in this specific neighborhood. I don’t have images of this area because was playing Pokemon GO at the time.
(Prior to reaching this area I cursed how I missed out on checking a singular Snorunt further back. I looped around partially, doubling back towards this Mud Lake entrance area. I also specifically desired to go on this adventure in hopes of capturing a shiny Snorunt, a Pokemon which only appears in Winter & Snowy conditions. Two male teens also desired to go fishing in the area. They ventured from a nearby apartment/home area, having made their way to this entrance, proceeding to head to another fishing spot.)
This area surprisingly attracts many Pokemon. I’ve actually stood here for a lengthy amount of time spinning Pokemon stops, capturing Pokemon, and even planning my next stop.
Satisfied, if confused as to where to proceed, I figured I would might as well make my way towards downtown Ottawa. My bike is capable of it, something which I would soon regret after the fact. I would also spot a parkway transit cop parked in the area, even eventually making his way off the curb, onto the roadway, and possibly towards the next destination of mine minutes away.
If the security car desired to question me, he had all the time in the world to do so. I spent far too long taking Pokemon GO photos to the point I could have been approached, interrogated, and such. Seeing as how that didn’t happen, this first indirect encounter was coincidental. Why am I concerned about such a thing? My E-Bike, is why. It’s an E-Bike, Ottawa is full of Karen’s, and my E-Bike has something the NCC doesn’t approve of. I still tried to obey the rules, laws, and bylaws, just not the 750w regulation. NCC favours the 500w on their bikes, hence my concern.
I was firmly curious about this area, in relation to Pokemon GO, if it had Pokestops or not. Various Pokemon GO site maps noted this area to not have any. My past personal experience noted otherwise, three (or more) at that, an important resting area to restock on Pokeballs, items, and etc. Deschenes Rapids is a great place to relax, restock, and capture Pokemon. Various Pokemon GO map sites refuse to acknowledge this area.
Canada Geese were also roaming the area. They were loosely curious about me, they however left me alone.
I gradually began to head out, even testing if I could use a broken curb to slide onto a nearby sidewalk area. A bit distracted, I glanced to my side to notice the same parkway patrol car turning around. Again, may have been after me, or not at all. Possibly a coincidence, and a coincidence I shall view it as.
I had a next destination to venture to, one which had me venture directly from this rapid lookout point, heading towards Westboro beach. I had slight concerns of being followed by security, or even scolded, as well as construction obstacles. I had my various concerns, I however pushed on. The construction on the Ottawa parkway was lengthy. So lengthy, it even extends into Westboro, and beyond.
I desired to rest for a bit at Westboro beach, especially a bit further up in a blocked off area with various Pokestops. Instead, I had to linger in the area as briefly as possible, even to venture back up the hill, and back home. I was annoyed. My phone had a solid charge at 50%, sadly being sapped of every bit of energy from how cold the wind was. The cold, strong, gusting winds was sapping the energy swiftly from my phone, 1% per minute. I was frustrated. My bike can go much further! I can EASILY make it to downtown!
I had to find a spot to pop out my wireless powerbank….
On a warmer, more normal day, I’m certain I would have easily made it towards downtown without issue. Being Canada, I had to deal with the frustrations of Ottawa winters, cold snaps, and battery wind-battery-sapping-issues to the point I began searching for wireless battery chargers for my phone to hang on bike handles.
>Phone battery died Intermission<
I was pissed/angry/frustrated. I eventually came to the realization the wind was far too cold for the phone’s battery to stay warmed up. 34%, 33%, 32%, 30%…… Eventually down to 20%, 15%, 14%, 5%, 4%, 3%, 2%, 1%, and 0%…. The 0% scared me. I had Hakodate 2024 snow-squall PTSD flashbacks during this moment, and I was “scared”. Don’t make me stay here to warm up my phone again! It’s this part here I came home feeling sick with a cold. I may have caught a cold with how brutal the wind was gusting, almost nearly nonstop. Constantly…
Miserable.
I observed numerous cyclists, even observing if any of their bikes were E-Bikes. I saw mostly manual bikes, if uncertain of others. A few pedestrians on foot. I spent this time posting my progress on X, sharing my concerns with my Mexican Anime friend on Discord, and also searching up wireless power-banks for Bike handles to charge phones with. I saw a few, though decided against it. I view this situation as a one-off, and I have my power bank for warmer days. I chose a stupid day to head out, if the only day with actual free time to do anything worthwhile during a busy work week.
18% Phone Battery Charge – Continuation:
I’m aware Ottawa hipsters, political activists, and Left-Wing lunatics desire to call this ‘Kichi Zibi’, I however know it as Dominion Station, and that’s how I shall probably continue to call it going forward. Nothing wrong with Kichi Zibi, it’s however Ottawa’s Left-Wing nonsense that is the problem here with its constant false political intentions. They’re offended by the name ‘John A. Macdonald’ name of the Ottawa Parkway because the name falsely offends the easily offended Liberal Left-Wing group of Ottawa. Some falsified notions of “slavery”, or something. Red herring, strawman type issues. You know, “Forever Victims” mentality. It’s why both Europe and Japan are far more appealing than Ottawa ever shall be. It’s why Vancouver is far better than Ottawa, and Vancouver should be the actual national capital of Canada.
I have a love-hate relationship with Ottawa because of how it always desires to be “Forever-Victims”. They’re always offended about something, and it’s constantly “sigh” inducing. I wish Ottawa could stop being mentally challenged, retarded, and boring.
Cycling Intermission:
I basically sped my way from Westboro & Dominion Station towards the Rapids Lookout, and towards Mud Lake’s entrance, all in powered assist. I had to occasionally slow down to shiny-check for Snorunts spawning on my game, I however made it back quicker than how I initially made it there. I genuinely desire a shiny Snorunt! I can’t even obtain one in Pokemon Violet for Nintendo Switch.
I was freezing, everything was a pain, and I was worried about my phone. I had a guy potentially amused at my speeding E-Bike, how I was multi-tasking, and just zipping along the bikepath. I was rushing my way back towards the Mud Lake entrance.
I had a few more people stare at my E-Bike, and in my general vicinity. I simply bolted straight back home at this point, also because my phone was threatening to die again at 17%. Yes, I nudged the battery to 20% in hopes of surviving the return trip back home, especially with Pokemon GO active. I returned home with Power Assist 3, some pedaling, and a few more annoying areas to go through. One more detour in a nearby neighborhood, eventually making it safely back prior to nightfall.
Safe!
With that trip, I rate my BK6M Hitway bike with high regards. A nice 9.5/10! It survived longer than my phone, especially with all the accidental abuse I put the bike through. The pointy shrubs, the curb-side pebbles, wet grass, and various mixed terrain. This bike handled everything like a champ, and I admire it so. The jolt it gives you in Assist lvl 1-3 modes, and the throttled cruise control. I admire this bike highly so, and I shall happily use it more often. Good times! Good times! The BK6M was intentionally chosen for being a folding bike, budget friendly, and one I could easily store away in various situations. A compact, yet helpful bike. It gained high reviews, and I can see why. It’s an awesome Ebike for $860-$960 Canadian
I also need this bike, especially for health concerns. Workplace-caused fatigue, exhaustion, breathing issues, and muscle soreness. Granted, I can walk, I need something quicker for Pokemon GO, especially when shiny hunting for specific Pokemon in larger ranges.
Bonus Images – (Extra images I desire to share without making a new blogpost.)
Starting off with my first actual attempt with the telescope viewing the moon during colder, more winter-oriented conditions on April 8th, 2025.
I obtained three shiny Pokemon in a relatively short amount of time, and that genuinely surprised me. Made me proud, if highly surprised! It was probably the will of the Gods (and I mean actual Gods; Something divine) for preventing me from testing out my bike on a rainy day. I desired to test out my new bike at the end of my shift, it was however raining, gloomy, and depressing, hence the three shiny Pokemon gifted to me. I’m proud of them! Made my night!
Shiny Remoraid, Fletchling, and also an Exeggutor! Nice!
>Insert Mine (Pop Idol) Get here after acquisition<
(I still have yet to obtain her, work and other obligations preventing me from doing so. May find her placed here normally on Friday, April 18th.)

Tuesday night was brutal for me, especially with how I desired to unwind to Anime, unable to do so. I was highly fatigued, exhausted, especially to the point I would pass out on both the couch, as well as the chair desiring to watch Anime. I had to retire early to sleep.
I would also have wild dreams about Rising World where Red51 had to covertly update his Rising World game all because vile people would attack me. He would announce on his forum update news bubble what new features were added (i.e fishing, Two-tier modding elements, among other features, and optimization), refusing to share updates on Twitter/X, and other platforms. I mean, in reality one must blame the actual vile villains, such as the Left-Wing ‘PoriKore’ crowd, the same ones which view me as an alleged ‘Alt-Right-Neo-Nazi-Right-Wing-Conspiracy-Pedophile-Insert-Fake-Terms-Here’ nonsense. Deranged lunatics. 😉
I find true happiness in Japanese, Asian, and Anime mediums, and the same people who hate me are painfully angry I’m actually honest with myself, hence the attacks on me. Half of their lunacy is genuinely hilarious, the other half needing actual, authentically-certified therapists to medically assist them in life.
I had a happier dream relating to Pokemon GO with how I would attempt to capture a shiny Blue (not red) Voltorb in its normal and alternative version. I’m still working on that.
Azur Lane – Kingdom of Tulipa – Official Preview Announcement:
(Previous Blog Posting here: https://arcticukitsu.com/Blog/?p=9252 )

Genuinely surprised by the pre-stream announcement of the upcoming Dutch nationality (faction) being implemented in an upcoming update. I knew they were coming, and I’m happy they’re finally coming. New Dutch shipgirls incoming, especially ones viewed as alleged ‘Minor Nation’ by other weird individuals out there. Other fake individuals always dismiss, gaslight, and berate people who desire Chinese, Dutch, Canadian, Australian, and other nationalities with red herrings, strawman, and insults, yet here we have the Dutch navy being implemented into the game. It was expected, and I’m happy they’re incoming, even if saddened over the fact I only know false, corrupt Dutch individuals who aren’t true to themselves and others. I can’t hype this announcement up with other Dutch people, they’re politically corrupted people, or so I can say from personal experiences. I’m still however happy over Azur Lane having the Chinese, Russians, Italians, French, and other factions, it’s why I admire Azur Lane more than KanColle, even if KanColle introduced the concept prior to Azur Lane. They both do well, if Azur Lane doing better, especially in a more accessible manner.
I had a friend named Technohornist unfollow me (on X) solely because of my overly firm, patriotic, & dedicated desires to see Canadians (RCN | Maple Monarchy) implemented into Azur Lane, now seeing the Dutch having their turn into the game. If they desire to be dumb, they can be dumb, and I can solely have fun with HNLMS Tromp on my own, or with my Mexican Anime friend, and a few handful of other folks. I can soon have fun with HNLMS Tromp, the ‘Ghost Ship’ of the Pacific, as noted by the Japanese of the era.
With the Dutch being added I can’t wait to have fun with HNLMS Tromp, especially hoping for her to have her ‘Ghost Ship’ vibes to mess around with. View Mary Celeste, if in a less extreme manner. More teaseful, more resilient, if frustrating to the enemy to sink. We can have fun with De Ruyter, and her other fellow Dutch sisterships. The theme for the Dutch (Kingdom of Tulipa) appears to be Elvish, even Fantasy-Folklore influenced. A bit concerning, if hopefully regal, proper, if with typical Azur Lane vibes. I’m looking forward to seeing how they’re announced via the Azur lane livestream on April 21st, at 6 AM. I shall view the stream hours later, better that way for health.

I’m happy we are to obtain the Dutch. This also further opens more doors to invite the Maple Monarchy into the game next. More proper doors. The Dutch and Canadians had a strong bond during WW2, hence Ottawa’s yearly Tulip Festival held each May, to which pays respect for rescuing, liberating, and connecting with our European Allies, friends, and comrades. We, the Canadians, saved the Dutch, yet treated as throw-away stones by pretend falsely historical and intellectual know-it-alls. Artificial intellects, the same group of dismissive lunatics Google Gemini even openly rejects, and is baffled by, in regards to people unfairly dismissing Canadians as a faction for Azur Lane.

Google Gemini, as stiff as it is, also supports me having Canadians in Azur Lane. Same with ChatGPT.
I lose fake friends over my strong desire to see Canadian shipgirls in Azur Lane and KanColle, yet real-world individuals can’t be as understanding. They have to be fake, mentally restrictive, dismissive, rude, falsely intellectual, intellectually dishonest, among other weird issues. I provide the AI with what I expect, and it approves, to which I question others having issues, and it supports me. It initially denied me, later supporting me because – “power of Anime” – with how Strike Witches/Brave Witches and Muv-Luv portrayed Canadians. I provided real-world and planned vessels, to which it considered what I proposed as “well-rounded” for a Canadian naval fleet. Others also agree, if in a more ‘Chinese’ mannerism for Azur Lane’s Chinese fleet.
I can’t wait to see my Canadians on July 1st, and assist the Dutch war effort against the Sirens, or whatever their Azur Lane lore has them tending to.

(Disclaimer: You’re bound to see a part 2 to this blog posting dedicated to both the Dutch, Canadians, and how I was betrayed by a false-minded Anime friend. Shame. If you’re going to shit-disturb, do it with actual real-world facts, and you’ll win each and every time. Honesty is your best policy. 😉 )
And that’s a wrap!
I had some decent fun the past few days, if with various ups and downs; busy with work, Easter Madness, and the like. Making neat progress going forward.
