Why figures and which do you prefer?

Hello guys! I thought I’d try my hands at another rambling & opinions articles to say why I love my figures, and why they’re awesome. I’m not doing a vs Figma or Shinki, but a simple comparisons to show why I like them and how I got into them.  So, why do I like my figures? Also, if you want,  you may consider this article a continuation  of – My History with Anime.

Figma Mirai – Culture Japan

I spy with my little eye something that is….Orange & white, has a “d” logo, and with a name that means future. Who could that be? Danny choo’s mascot – Mirai! I’ve obtained my Figma Mirai from J-List. Why not? Everybody else seemed to have went with AmiAmi but eh…let’s create our own unique path!

Ottawa – Algonquin Figure&Dollfie meet

Hello again! This time I got a re-cap of a sudden figure.fm meet-up from April 30th that Kodama suddenly requested. We both met up at the beautiful Algonquin College’s Garden area. I brought over my beloved Busou Shinkis and props while he brought his newly adopted Dollfie and Figmas. The weather was very nice during that day as well.

Figma Luka Megurine – Vocaloid

Oh? Whats this? A Figma? Yes, I’m still interested in Figma’s, even though I’ve been going Shinki-crazy the past few months thanks to Shinki Renge haha! I’ve obtained Luka from my local AnimeStop on April 27th. I’ve been seeking her ever since she released and had a bit of trouble getting her within my grasp. I’ve been a bit lucky that she hasn’t sold out in the same way as Rider and Kos-Mos have!

The Hidden Life of Figures

Hello! I thought I’d offer up a tutorial article for those new to the figure photoshoot scene, or those simply struggling to brainstorm ideas. Article also doubles as explanation to those those unfamiliar with Anime and figures. I’m basically going to mention ways you can guess or form a personality for figures for your comics, photoshoots, stop motion, or whatever else you might be planning to do and what you might be able to use them for. This also comes from studying other people’s comics and articles.

Note: If you see some obvious points being made, or explained, then it’s because of me explaining what this is about to those unfamiliar with bringing figures to life.

My Favorite Images P2 – Figure Images from 2010

What an interesting start to a New Year! Also got a fresh patch of snow, with more on the way! Snowed twice now Nice! Need a tad bit more to photoshoot my figures in.

But ya, I thought I’d continue with “My favorite images”, meaning my own images, from the past year – 2010. I already did it once condensing three years into one and thought I’d do one exactly after New Year’s this time. Well, time to look back to see my Figma’s roaming around Ontario, Canada, Cuba, and the birth of my Shinki collection! Oh, and sorry if this seems cliche of an article for the more hardcore figure photoshooters. I just wanted something slightly easier to look back at and to see where I should move on in the future. You know, something to gauge how much I’ve improved and to see where I should go next.

Lets see how they celebrate heh. Two articles for one thing? Ya. One was for decorations, left over photoshoot, and this one is my improvised planned photoshoot.

Figma Aya Kagura: School Uniform ver.

Whoa? Back onto the Figma line? Been hanging around Shinki’s since Summer. Well, I obtained her and O-Chan around the same time but decided to split them up for review and photoshoot reasons. I also thought I might be needing her accessories sooner or later. And If you must know, I acquired her at my local Anime Stop.

Trick or Treat! – Halloween – Figma & Shinki special

A few more days till Halloween! With the days quickly counting down to Halloween, my Figmas and Shinkis were quite estatic that they kept holding various meetings and mini-parties every few days. They ate snacks, fought one another, pigged out, and gained new gifts to use! Costumes? Sadly, none for all.
