Ottawa – Spring time#2

I see I haven’t blogged in awhile. Lets create a new entry then with my bike ride along the Ottawa river, with my new bike.  Sadly I didn’t bring any Anime figures this time around since I just wanted to get used to my new bike and finally check out the Spring scenery around. Though since this is a gaming and anime oriented blog for Ottawa, I’ll get some in the next article.

Lets start off with some ducks, shall we?

(All images are full sized, click the link under images to view them. Images are captured with a Sony Digital Camera W170. )

Warning: Below image comments may contain inside jokes or quick humor that may not be humourous to an average person.

These ones I caught resting right beside a bike path that turned into a sidewalk. They were just calmly resting under a shady part of the tree without moving from bikes.

Canadian Geese just shouting and flapping about. These ones I saw were just shouting at one another.

The same two Geese above and I still failed to get an image of them flapping about :(.

The two same ducks resting from before, and as you can see they didn’t mind if I took a picture of them.

And the rest of these images were taken in Andrew Haydon Park where noobies like me could easily grab pictures :). There were many others dancing about but I could never get them flapping their wings at the right time.  I had to deal with the below.

Proudly Canadian! *attempts a bad pun*

And a nice couple freely waltzing around the park, shall we toast to it?

And for those that kept up with the news would remember/heard of the wind storm that Ottawa had a few days ago. It was windy for 3-4 days that I guess people found it a right time to fly these kites, with these results:

And another one higher up in the tree……..

No matter how many times I view the lake like Ottawa River from Andrew Haydon Park. This view always manages to make me smile.

And signs, from what I seen not even us friendly Ottawaian’s obey them. At least the kids are having fun feeding them :). Look at the sign and then the last image of the blog and put 1+1 together, heh.

And a scenery view of Andrew Haydon from one of those wooden bridges.

And I enjoyed looking at this, a convoy of Canadian Geese going from one side of the pond to the other side.
*Thinks of WW2 style convoys*

(Link – MySite)

A Canadian Goose on life guard duty or a proudly Canadian bird?

(Link – MySite)

Hmm, dark image my bad. At least you can see the convoy of birds reaching the other side of the pond as well as a hordes of small boats.

And of course, a flock of Geese over head! And you said us Canadians couldn’t invade America, heh.

I saw Squirrels, but they’re insanely quick for my camera so those images are excluded, blurry. So instead, we got three images showing a Chipmonk eating something on a branch. I kind of chased it up there since it feared me.

Refer to the sign above and tell me what you think. You know where Seagulls hang around, right?

With that, I’m glad spring is here and I’m glad I got a new working bike :). Its not as fast as I wanted it to be but I can figure something out. Also except some more anime coming back into my blog.
