Ottawa – Spring Time#4 w/figma Rin (Vocaloid)

Another great day meaning another great time to take pictures of the local wildlife, as with figmas. This time I decided to bring Figma Rin to see what kind of images I could end up taking by bringing her along.

Well, I missed out on the Ottawa Tulip festival since I forgot when it was going to take place with me currently cursing that I have missed it. So much for looking at the Japanese tent this year :(. Ah well, there is always next year and more events to go to, right?

Before I go on about it, I thought I’d point out some kick ass Pockies that I found interesting again. The Almond type biscuit sticks that I found yesterday in the local Asian store on the other side of Ottawa. Also a teaser image to the next Figma I got that I will eventually do a photoshoot of, Figma #024 if your curious.

A review of the next Figma will come soon 🙂

I still see the birds are eating the seeds that people feed them. No signs nearby of a no feeding zone so I assume it was fine.

Well, ain’t this Seagul a beauty. We all know their negative role within society but have you ever stopped to look at its positive side? For everything negative do you try to see a positive? I like the orange around the eyes as well as the beak.

I was pacing up and down and the birds didn’t seem to care, other people did though since they’re touchy like that. The ducks stayed in this spot, only up to the point when I got close to them.  Stay put you stupid human!

(Link – MySite)

And of course, I find out that these birds are nearly tamed that they don’t care about us humans. Dogs on the other hand………This Goose (below) let me get near it and I was able to walk past many just inches away from them.

And finally, something different! The Canadian Goose looks at the Chipmonk while I take pictures of them.  At least the birds attention is now someplace else, not on me or another human.

How “cute”. For something thats big and can honk it sure looks nice when resting/sleeping. Agreed?

A Fight? We have a loose feather and must be that same bird I saw later with that loose wing. That one is going to have to get hospitalized by the bird vets sometimes soon.

/me tries something new

So your wondering where Rin is, right? Well, I’m a shy type of Anime photographer so images are slightly rushed. I still try to make them look good but sometimes people’s presence makes me rush.

Yes, I know I can do better but at least I managed to get a few images. The left eye normal? From the looks of the official images I think mine gained 2 scratch marks. Uh oh.

Rin singing along with the Ducks and the Geese in the background :D.

Hmm, wish I brought those extra pieces. Hope you like these images regardless :).

Hmm, I think I found a good style to take cool figma images now. I’ll get back to you on those style of images soon.

Hey! Its that Chipmonk again!

(Link – MySite)

Ah crap, it saw me and ran. Oh wait, whats this? I see its head sticking out. Oh it hid again.  Lol. I see its little nose sticking out.

Back to the little Gosling’s I go due to their tiny furryness.

(Link – MySite)

A predator defense pose? I’ve noticed these Goslings getting all deformed with how they lay down or relax.

(Link – MySite)

I sat down to the right side of them on the path, watched them cautiously and kindly move from my front left to the front right, eventually regrouping with the other Geese on the other side. They were fine with me since I didn’t bother them and actually tried keeping  a good distance from them.

(Link – MySite)

What did I say? Other people got to close and someone brought a small dog that they weren’t fond of. Even another idiot on a rollerblade going past the area and nearly runs over a dog as well…….

(Link – MySite)

They got free food though, but people got too close and I bet the parents were pissed off that they’re attracting unwanted visitors.

(Link – MySite)

A guy had a bag of seeds and fed the little goslings int he the area before feeding the other bigger Geese and ducks.  The same person then came up to me and  told me how idiotic some people are by constantly following the little goslings and not giving them enough room to walk around, taking hundreds of pictures of these goslings.  He was fine with me taking pictures but not at how other people get close to the goslings.

After the convo and the gosling watching, I went seeking for another area to take images with Figma Rin. But wait, theres another distraction! Its a duck I never seen before.

(Link – MySite)

And a more comical scene, with a Duck fishing for fish/food.

(Link – MySite)

Once I’m done with the new distractions, me and Rin do some more photoshoots! She wanted to feed a nearby duck but we didn’t have any seeds :(.

I think she mocked me 0_o

(Link – MySite)

I think you can see bike’s rear tire in this image as well as ring still giggling away, heh.

(Link – MySite)

The wind started picking up so I decided it be time to see if I can find one more spot to take more images of Rin. She agreed and we got few more pictures to show. (Nearly lost her other hand and good thing I noticed)

(Link – MySite)

Rin enjoying the nice view of the Ottawa River as with the wind. She wanted to record the wind this time :).

(Link – MySite)

Continuing to enjoy the scenery, Rin decided to climb and sit on a tree branch to enjoy the nice view of the green scenery behind me.

(Link – MySite)

Heh, that was quite a flood of images and I got one more to show off. Sadly these are not Sakura trees but a Crab Apple tree. They keep reminding me of those Sakura trees.

Hope you enjoyed skimming/looking at the images and I’ll end up doing the Figma 024 review soon :).

See you in the next article!
