Merry Christmas! This being the second Christmas gathering of three, and one New Year’s festivities. A nice lovely pre-world exploration before the main course. Testing out my newly customized avatar in her Santa outfit, both found on Booth. Renge hasn’t gone anywhere, and she is still my main avatar in VRChat, it’s just Asteria was easier to customize while Renge’s files were still MIA. I timed out having to rely on Asteria only.
Most of my session was hanging around in desktop mode in both PC and Steam Deck (majority of images are from PC) while a small portion are from VR mode itself for testing purposes. Performance issues also forced me into desktop mode, especially when entering the K-Mart/Zellers/Sears world. Midnight Haven folks are well aware of the fact of my PC’s degradation.

As a kid I rented out the Hey, You! Pikachu N64 copy from a local Rogers rental corner store. I wanted to play it so badly I called in sick halfway through school to be sent home (after my dad dropped me off) to start playing this. My mother had company at time time constantly asking me who I’m talking to…. I’m talking to Pikachu. I’ve actually had nice fond memories of the game, I wouldn’t mind playing more of it.
We genuinely need more of these gimmick games, especially the ‘Eyedentify’ game for PS3. I’m glad Japan has fiddled with a few gimmick games relating to voice and camera, they however need to push more of it. What I would give for a nice Busou Shinki game working on a similar concept of voice and camera.

I froze up having to come back under desktop mode. No VR For me tonight, sadly. All desktop mode.
The hilarity of this moment was how I wasn’t the only one suffering, other folks were as well. I probably could have stayed in VR Mode once we left this world. Everybody else had performance issues from this world.
Freedom! We’re in a new happier performance world, and an old world I’ve been to near the beginning of VRC’s life. Ah, the fond memories. Glad to be back.
Funny part was how Halo theme was requested by a Velt, a Halo avatar wearing person. They sadly walked off to do their own thing having others hear the Halo theme played in piano style.
New world time! More Christmas vibes to be had.

While flying my camera around I was randomly poked by a wild Hunt. He poked me, wished me a Merry Christmas, and noted my computer situation, probably. Thanks for the festive wishes 🙂
I partially feel bad for Blue with how popular they are; How people have “violently” snatched them away at times by prying them away from me leaving me fuming at one point, or few times. But hey, at least I get to see them in a more positive and festive mood this year. What I’m referencing occurred a few years prior, when I was still in a stable situation before my move to a roommate’s place.

After much lurking, walking around, and exploring a wild Kobi appeared.
I’m thankful Kobi joined up, he however sadly had to do his festive things. Short-lived, if a neat meet-up.

Was an awesome hangout, even in its desktop mode amusements. I’m amused to see I wasn’t the only one having VR troubles when in that retail nostalgia world, I still however stayed in desktop mode even after that world hop. Need to make sure I didn’t get disconnected, or miss anything. I however left a bit early having missed out on a group photo at the end. I’m happy to have meet up with Hunt, Blue, Kobi, and many others. I’m glad I was acknowledged there, and have headpats to make me happy. Headpats! All the headpats!
