Victory! After a lengthy time of being stuck in Diorama Studio, she finally made it into Battle Rondo. Kohiru’s wave sister Merienda (spoon) also made it in. Also, BrigthFeather (nurse) and HarmonyGrace (Nun) accompanied the food cutlery in this update. With this, Battle Rondo had a necessary update on March 30th inserting older Shinki’s due to fans requesting their older Shinki’s into the MMO.

I reviewed Kohiru when she was in figure form, and when I saw she was only in Diorama studio I raged briefly before moving onto simply photoshooting her, Benio, and Renge. Her and Renge got the same delayed treatment by Konami which apparently pissed off hordes of Shinki fans on both sides of the sea.
What does she specialize in? Close and ranged combat. She has a Sai and chopsticks for close while a chopstick gun for ranged. She also has light armor and great mobility, similar to Benio and Renge. In Rondo, she uses Benio’s template in movement, style, Japanese etiquette, and even recharges in Benio’s kneeled manner. Her and Benio appear to be sisters by the OS they use in Rondo.
Kohiru’s personality is truly that of a traditional Japanese waitress – She kneels before battle and poses like a waitress after battle.

She is a great Shinki, but her voice somewhat put me off. I was expecting someone as crazy as Renge, but she’s still sounds fine. I just had high hopes and am to blame for my own disappointment over her voice. Her voice is great. Everything she does is awesome and I have yet to find out who her voice actress is. Also, as mentioned, Kohiru borrows her animations from the Japanese influenced Benio with the sleeping and hand gestures. One’s new, but that’s also probably from another Shinki. Maybe I’m wrong? Going to have a bit of fun juggling Fubuki, Benio, Renge, and Kohiru in this. Tsugaru still needs a body so she’s lucked out a bit.
