Busou Shinki – Fubuki – Type Ninja

I got another review for you guys/gals, and this I have Shinki Fubuki! She is a type ninja with fox traits. Though, her legging shows a bird-like appearance. You can try Konami Style (Japan domain), Mandarake, or even E-Bay. I obtained mine from Mandarake for about $100 CAD, after a few very noobish happenings, with her arriving just this Friday.

Fubuki is a limited edition figure, and I’m glad I managed to obtain her. I was keeping my eye on her for a very long time, and wanted her because of both Battle Rondo and Battle Masters. I saw her on Mandarake and thought I’d finally try ordering from there. This would now be my 5th Shinki (6th if you count two Renges).

It’s also amusing how she arrived on Friday the 13th, Renge Minion on Kitsune Wednesday, and Tsugaru right before New year’s day after being a tsundere.

Hmm….I dislike how people call her a “failninja” or “failfubuki”, or something close to those. She’s the starter for Battle Rondo and she was even picked out of a trash can and given to the player in Battle Masters. Poor Fubuki, nobody should treat you, or others like so :(. Fubuki and Benio should get a better reputation than from what I saw.

A.D 2035, there has been no world war 3, nor even invasions. The world has naturally evolved since 2006.

However, robots have now integrated into everyday life , and are active in various fields. “Shinki is a robot figure standing at 15 cm tall.

They have their own mind and emotions, and they co-exist amongst humans. People allow “shinkis”  to equip themselves with an array of ewaponry and armor, so that they can fight each other.

They fight for their pride to prove their strength or simply for victory! “shinkis that obey their owners orders and go to battle others of their kind are called “Busou Shinki”.

The armor was a bit of a pain and was reminded of how annoying Benio‘s waist armor was. You have to be a tad bit more forceful, but slightly less careful. You just have to peg, while with Benio you had to keep replacing parts after fixing another.

Also, do note the instruction sheet while studying the images. It’s just a little heads up if you’re the image studying type.

Final Thoughts:

Awesome figure! I’m glad I managed to get a hold of a mostly-mint condition (even possible?) Fubuki. Her gear, armor, and everything is absolutely awesome. If you can find her, get her! No holding back, chop chop!

Pros:

– Sweet attention to detailing! I mean, for something that is from 2008, the design and everything is top notch. She is pretty much faithful to her concept art counterpart. Fubuki’s thigh and legging armor impressed me the most about her. Even her katana was amazing.
– The Muffler/scarf was a nice addition to this get. It’s similar to the Figma order special that I got with Figma Shamal.
– The articulation on her is absolutely awesome! No complaints.
– The box is actually pretty sweet. The quote alone actually made her awesome. It’s probably because it’s a gem from the near past?
– Her joints and everything were pretty stiff and/or smooth. No looseness what-so-ever.

Cons:

– Full-armor articulation: Her upper body struggles with articulation from the torso up.
– My Fubuki’s legging armor ended up having a rusted screw. A slight of rust was also spotted on Fubuki’s hair piece, probably? I’m debating whether to get the screw replaced now, or keep it and risk it.
– Her waist armor is a bit of a pain to put onto her body. You have to pull both sides to make it fit onto her waist to the point were you risk snapping the rubber.
– The muffler restricts head movement, and even pops off when in full armor.
