Busou Shinki – Moon Angel – Episode 5

Hello! Busou Shinki episode 5 is available on the Japanese PSN for 400 yen, yet only viewable in the game via your room TV option. You’ll have to wait for the Blu-Ray.

Spoiler warning! Be patient to watch next episode, or scroll down cautiously!

I actually like this episode over episode 4. Anything that beats Shinki or mindless mobs is fine. Basically have Arnval running and hiding until she’s discovered once again.

Episode Break-Down:

-> Tsubasa attempting to find a runaway Shinki only to run past her….Cliched, but I still find it usable. Of course, Arnval tries shouting back but gets disrupted by the Turkey-brained mob who are trying to get justice for Arnval’s actions of nearly destroying Zelno. Before Tsubasa ran past the Tempesta program stopped running causing the black bits to recede from her hands.

-> Neko-san, as named by Arnval, signals Arnval to hop on by signaling with its tail. They both sneak past the mob totally undetected. I’m pretty sure this is quite plausible, but quite rare. To a trained pet, highly experienced stray animal, or one of those “once in a life-time” events. Basically like a bird going into a mall to steal a bag of chips then eating it elsewhere. Now that this happened you’ll have to wait 100 years for my point to be proven :P.

-> The time of day went from bright to dim, hinting that they may have traveled for quite some time. Neko-San allows Arnval to get off and promptly heads off to return to its daily routines.

-> Arnval gets a quick moment of silence where she quickly starts thinking to herself. She questions herself whether she should or shouldn’t meet up with her Master, if it would be better if she should be alone.  Couldn’t understand it 100% so I worded it like this.

-> Straf intinterrupts Arnval, quickly attacking her to figure out if she is “the one” from the first episode. Arnval hints that she has digital amnesia. Straf doesn’t care, she has a job to do. Dodge after dodge, Arnval eventually misses a step and gets slammed into a nearby car mirror. Here, you can note her digital amnesia for the second time.

-> Straf’s appearance strikes me as a bit odd, and a bit of a plot device. One way I can consider it real-life normal scenario is if she returned back to base to recharge on a cradle and back out. Sure, you can say this is Anime and that it shouldn’t be “realistic”, but Anime does take stuff from our world, placing it into theirs. It’s hard to make it seem normal now because it is being a bit over-done, or something like such has to be added. It is one of those moments where you travel to another place and meet a friend you haven’t talked to in ages. Coincidence? Small world. Straf has been checking all the back-alleys and such.

-> Straf notes Arnval’s swiftness, and I shall do the same. Her moves, dodges, and movement appear to be quite high with what has been normally seen. As I mentioned in the first episode Arnval’s CSC cores are – Increased accuracy, SP Growth (specials), and Dodge/mobility. This (green CSC core) would explain why Arnval can move, dodge, and jump around so much.

-> From the looks of things Arnval’s Tempesta program is activated by either anger or combat stress. Zelno and Straf’s attacks both set off Arnval causing a portion of her combat programming to glitch into Tempesta form.

-> The way Straf speaks seems that she is a bit too obsessed in finding Arnval. Maybe a bit more than normal? “Ah! I finally found you!” but with that added extra tone. Arnval is now known as “Type 01”. If it wasn’t obvious before, now you can think of Arnval as some special prototype.

Thanks for reading and hope you’re enjoying these reviews and breakdowns. On a nice side-note: I can now listen to both Sharatang’s and Renge’s voice while doing their story-mode. Sites are feeling the Christmas crunch so I’m lagging behind slightly on episode 6 and Renge’s story-mode. Costly things those are….

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and happy Hanuka! Screw Happy Holidays! Stop stealing my Christmas from Canada!
