Hello! Busou Shinki episode 4 is available on the Japanese PSN for 400 yen, yet only viewable in the game via your room TV option. You’ll have to wait for the Blu-Ray.

This episode continues where the last episode left off with Arnval glitching out. Arnval’s software basically interrupted the battle turning Arnval into Shinki Tempestra for a good half-a-minute to a minute. Zelnogrard nearly lost her own robotic life – life is precious.
This episode leaves a strange taste in my mouth…well, you know what I mean. Or maybe you’ll know what I mean once you skim through this article.

– Episode Break-down:
-> Arnval’s sword snaps upon contact of Zelnogrard’s torso armor. The sword basically snaps like a toothpick with the tip flung to the side. Strong armor or battle-damaged sword? Probably both.
-> Arnval short-circuiting and glitching into Shinki Tempesta. Basically Arnval, but black colors. The Tempesta skin seems to basically behaves almost similar to Venom from Spiderman. Her transformation also causes disruptions in the battle box causing outages in the hologram and power spikes. Her personality also shifts into a merciless opponent.
-> After nearly having his (Mr. Pricks – not official name) Shinki destroyed by Tsubasa’s Arnval, he takes his anger out on Tsubasa. In anger, “Mr. Prick” shouts out stuff about Tsubasa’s Arnval being a customized Shinki and that sorry won’t cut it. Also, if I understood this properly, customizations are frowned upon, or only the ones where Shinki destruction is involved – like Arnval with Zelno’.
-> Tsubasa looking for fellow Shinki friends instead makes a horde of enemies with his Arnval morphing into Tempesta. Poor kid.
-> “Mr. Prick” orders the people who are observing to capture Arnval instead of calling the center’s security. Episode 3 showed that this center was “official” with “Konami Amusement”, where are the security or volunteers? *ponders* I need to visit Japan to see why security wasn’t called.
-> Arnval looked up in one of those ways a Catholic Angel does in churches. May Arnval be redeemed, forgiven, and allowed to fight in the center once again. Also a possible reference to her being a Type Angel, if poorly treated by the gaming mob.
-> People spread gossip and rumors that Arnval was a bad Shinki so they tried to capture her. They got shocked, jumped on, and then forced to use their sweaters and jackets to capture her. She ended up having to jump all around. They did capture her once, but she shocked one person causing her to be dropped. Tsk….that isn’t how you handle a Shinki! Arnval abuse!
-> Ken – from the Shinki shop – went to observe Tsubasa’s battle to investigate more about his Arnval. What will we learn?Â
-> Arnval fled, Tsubasa been treated like shit, a master’s Shinki nearly destroyed, and everybody running around trying to chase Arnval like mindless Turkeys. Did ANYBODY call security?!Â

From the looks of things, episode 4 and Battle Rondo’s final boss with Artemis makes me think the Shinki stories are a sad one. From what I’ve been told, Artemis’s Master died and she ended up roaming the net in sadness. Why am I saying this? Just to compare and add to this review.
