Hello Hello! Took another opportunity to go to a local Anime con within the nation’s capital – Ottawa’s Naru2u Anime con. This one went from November 18th to 20th.

Might as well take advantage of going to the con to see what is new with Ottawa’s Anime scene. All the forums are dead, nobody says much, and people are basically hiding in the shadows. The con might not be the best, but still took the chance to see what my fellow Ottawaians were up to.
Also nice to see nice cosplays in this “small” Anime con. Such cosplays made the con well worth going to.

I personally think Naru2u should serious, and I do mean seriously look into getting “badges” to wear instead of these silly hospital type bracelets. If they have a fetish for such then they could always go with the Cuban plastic kinds :P. Use people’s fan-art for such? This is my main serious gripe with the con.

While waltzing around waiting and looking for cosplayers I noticed some Asian influences in the Travel Lodge’s courtyard. Might as well take advantage of it with my silly attention seeking Renge.

Bought Renge a lovely huggable pillow with Miku Append on it. From the looks of it I take it she likes it ha!
Wanted to get some Figmas I don’t have but damn…the prices! Cannot afford! Besides, I bought Fate/Extra, Figma Robocop, and Busou Shinki Archives (yet to review) recently so I can get away with only purchasing a pillow for my lovely Renge.

Just because you made my mind tingle when hearing Spice & Wolf OP, Yumekui Merry OP, and Deadman Wonderland OP I’ll share them here. Happy to hear something familiar. Now lets hope they don’t get pulled. Didn’t take videos, nor can I find any AMV’s from this year.
Not to be rude, and I do apologize if I am, but chubby/fat girls and Anime conventions don’t mix! Not stopping you, go! Just don’t scream our ears off.

How was it? Fun for me, but over-all? I feel as if it was slightly pulled back. The game-room wasn’t as nicely set up (compared to 2010), and the bracelet as a pass is quite lazy. Make color-coded badges for crying out loud! Other than that? I had fun and the cosplayers made it well worth going to. The side stuff was somewhat entertaining.
I missed a few cosplayers on camera due to distractions, or bad timing, but I hope you can fill me in on those in the comments? Thanks in advance? No? Your call.
Will I go back next year? We’ll see. Now onto the real fun! GAnime 2012! Be nice if I could go back to Otakuthon. Until then, peace!
