For those that have been lurking on my forum may have noticed a “trend” of me saying “for a change of scenery I decided to -here- to take pictures of Figmas“. Well, to continue that trend I shall now say:
“For a change of scenery I decided to take pictures of my Figma’s outside of Ottawa, at Sharbrot Lake.”
Only for Figmas? Of course not. I assisted with some minor tasks. Taking pictures of Figmas was just me taking advantage of different scenery.
It appears that the Cherry Blossoms are in full bloom in Canada, Ottawa. I took pictures of the one on the Experimental Farm, went too early for the one at Andrew Haydon park, and checking up on some group of trees at a busy Transit way. Someone’s blog mentioned these were Cherry Blossoms but I’m too unsure if these are or not.
Anybody up for a parasol party? Saber and Signum were the runner ups in this paper parasols photo-shoot party. Got to love how miniature materials or objects can be used with these Figmas with ease heh.
I doubt I have gone through my Ferrari collection in the last year or so. Time for a Ferrari update if that is the case as I obtained $17 (CAD)’s worth of new Ferrari’s. It might not be much to someone else but it would be for someone who keeps collecting Anime figures while trying to review them, or photo-shoot them heh. Its something to do while waiting for the Ferrari Festival to roll around.
Hey, me and Kodama – Figure.fm profile – tried to do a Dannychoo.com/Figure.fm meet up at a very short notice. We met up but were hoping for more people. I should of had a little flag showing “d” in purple. It went well but it was only me and Kodama taking images of Figmas for three hours. Â I ended up being about 10 minutes late at the time, but did leave a warning that I’d be late as I was cycling – 3ish pm -> 6 pm. I also tried went to my local AnimeStop on the way to buy a Figma – Figma Emiya.
In my hunt for more Cherry Blossoms I saw that the Experimental Farm had a few in their garden. Also brought my Figmas with me just to even out the Ottawa scenery bits with a bit of Anime-ness. The Experimental Farm is a vast open space to experiment with crops and such. There is no way you can miss it as it covers a large portion of Ottawa.
4/20 – A pothead’s heaven on Earth. The one and only time I’ll post something like this up. I’m not a pothead myself but I did go downtown just for this and to see if I could kill two birds with one stone – Ottawa Senator’s mini-parties in the downtown area. I lucked out on the Senators part.
With warmer weather comes a stream of pictures and videos! Finally got my bike repaired for this year’s Spring to fall season and some nice enough images to share with you all. I’ve also attempted to try and get my figma collection in some nice outdoor shots, hope they’re in good quality.
Happy Easter Weekend! Me and my Figma’s keep getting flooded with chocolate of all kinds and this Easter seems to be a new record for these chocolates flood. Miku and Rin were the only ones interested in the chocolate flood as Shana and Haruhi are still recovering from their Coca-Cola antics. Shana is also munching on her winter Lindt chocolate that she looted from Christmas heh.
Wow, such an unCanadian like day as the weather was oddly warm and summer like. I’m not complaining as I actually enjoyed such an unusually warm weather for late March and early April. It went from being snowy, warm, cloudy, warm, cold, cloudy, rain, cloudy, sunny, cloudy, chilly, warm, windy, warmer, and then into summer in an unusually short time. People didn’t even need a sweater in this weather and to top it off buses could easily turn into a sauna.
Ya, I made it to Tokyo, Japan after getting the tickets as a secret birthday present. I didn’t want to ruin my chances of the flight being canceled or getting sick so I didn’t blog about it, until now ^_^. The air smells so nice, the breeze….nice and chilly. Narita airport, so damn huge 0_o. The flight, boring and long.
Ha, 23rd B-day already? Wow, the birthday thing still has that nice ring to it. Also ended up getting some nice loot for the whole of March. Figmas? Sadly none this time around. I only ended up getting the Lumix GF1 and three Gundam model kits (1/144 scale) this month as I couldn’t spend that much :(.
Hello again. Thought I’d go back through my blog articles and image gallery to find the best images I could find and place them in a timeline fashion. I did something similar on figure.fm as my first post and thought I’d expand on it here just to see how much I improved in both the photography skill taking and Figma posing wise. Just wanted an article to look back on to compare past, present, and future content. Also, thanks for the comments on Figure.fm, I appreciate it ^^.
– August 11, 2008 on a Korg Keyboard. Probably the first real pose I got my Figma in. I had her act as my own cheerleader when me and my friend would play UEFA 2008 while playing as Slovakia vs any other nation, fun times.
After a much needed “upgrade” to a low light sensitive camera along side with a few public taunts and teases I finally obtained a Lumix GF1. I’ve been waiting for months to acquire any sort of low-light friendly camera; last few weeks for the GF1 choice. Now I won’t have to struggle with night time or indoor shots as much under the picture and video mode, I hope ^^.
Thought I’d bring back the “Figma/Grail War” in another “experiment” to see if I can take this slightly further. With winter quickly turning into Spring posing figures outdoors should be much easier as fingers won’t numb out as quickly, heh. I also dislike posing figures indoors and would rather use the natural scenery outdoors then fake ones.
