Azunyan’s Icy Slip

Hello again. Thought I’d continue on quickly with where we left off from the Shinki snow pile-up. I placed Azunyan in a “lost” situation. Mother nature also decided to dump freezing rain while the wind constantly howled in a North-pole fashion on Tuesday night, basically Kitsune Wednesday with the timing.

Tulip Festival ’11 & Renge’s Sushi Appetite.

Went to the Tulip Festival again, this time for the international pavilion. I went there to see what was new and to see if I could get anything for my uh….demanding fox spirit – Renge. And I always keep forgetting that weekends keep bringing out all the tourists and locals. I could barely walk or even take proper images of tulips, Renge, the food, or see what is up for sale.  Was a nice hot day though, worth the trip to see the tent.

Tulip Festival ’11 – Renge

Spring sure is slow this year around. I mean, last year we had the hottest spring while this year we had the most delayed one. Global warming? Global climate change? If anything, nothing stays the same for long so patterns tend to change. Same could actually be said to the format of the Tulip Festival. I’ll go with a bit of a prologue and a recap while showing my lovely Renge twins as they curiously climb up tulips on a very nice cloudless windy day.

Renge’s Winter

Ah! It unexpectedly snowed overnight. I was simply expecting it to be extremely chilly with the freezing rain warning, nothing more. Though, without missing a beat, Renge took off to explore the new fresh snowfall that snuck it’s way onto Ottawa’s ground. I went to explore the scenery as well, as to show the second snow fall of the year.

Enjoy the images!

Sudden Rain Photoshoot – Benio & Kohiru

Ah, hellos again! I wanted to show you guys and gals some scenic images during the fall period in Ottawa. Some images actually containing fall leaves, Kohiru being kept dry, and a sudden rain. Benio and Kohiru also decided to tag along for scenic view. They tried their best to cope with the rain….

Shinki Benio’s Outdoor Adventure

To give Benio’s her deserved respect here is an article for her ^^.
After acquiring Benios, she wanted to explore the vast and foreign area around her. With Benio being my first ever Shinki I thought I’d also assist with showing off how she articulates and the like in an outdoor setting. Feel free to consider this as a part of a review if you want.

Enjoy the photo-shoot!

Animated Ottawa – (P1)

Thought I’d try something new  with my camera. Might not be new to other serious photographers, but its new to me as I only used it once before during Winterlude 2010. I’m talking about using burst mode in an active location with your camera, then animating it into an animated .gif. I hope you find it to your liking. Oh, and since I added 13 gifs you may experience an internet slow down, or browser lag, depending on your computer set up. I apologize for that.

I also had Saber and Optimistic Penguin‘s blog mascot join me on the experiment as well.

Ottawa Tulip – P4 & Ottawa Tour – Final

Ottawa Tulip Festival’s final article as today (Monday) is the last day for the event. I went back to Major’s Hill Park for the final time on Sunday to obtain some final Friendship stage content and to also wrap up the touristic view of Downtown Ottawa. I hope those following the blog enjoyed the 4 (or 5, counting the intro) covering both the Tulips and the Canadian-Dutch WW2’s 1945 celebration.

Ottawa Tulip – P3 & Ottawa tour

Part three of the Tulip Festival with an added and continued downtown Ottawa tour. Basically got stuck in the same place due to the incoming storm but it started off differently. I decided to finally get around to showing you guys and gals a long wall of graffiti that other locals and photographers tend to photograph. You may want to view this in large to make out the fine details.

Ottawa Tulip Festival – P2 & Ottawa Tour

Went back to the Ottawa Tulip Festival on Major’s Hill Park to try and add missing bits and pieces from the previous article.  As the Pavilion wasn’t really packed like it was on Saturday I managed to get some decent shots.  As I already upped a few videos I didn’t take any new ones of the Tulip.
