A Canadian view of Anime, Busou Shinki, VR Games, and more
Category: First Glance Reviews
I review what I see at first glance and have known before hand when reviewing. These reviews contain rantable content as I randomly speak from my mind that may confuse people.
For more Figma related material may want to check out Figma Photoshoots or request more information/images about the Figma.
Yay! Finally! Finally managed to obtain Figma Shamal after a little mishap with product stock last summer. She was originally supposed to be in my collection along side with Signum and Saber deformate (article). She came along side of Tenko Kuugen and finally split my reviews into two articles.
Acquired Tenkp Kuugen PVC on Monday and reviewing it today (Wednesday). Even though I’m aware of it’s bad reputation of leaning, I just needed something to remember my favorite fox Anime with – Wagaya no Oinari-sama. She happened to be the only one left in stock so I swiftly grabbed her. Since this has probably been reviewed on other blogs I guess we can say “better late then ever” heh.
Figma Black Rock Shooter acquired! Figma Black Rock Shooter was delayed from early summer, until late October. The main otaku group around the world obtained her much earlier then I have due to the different supplier. I got mine from my local Anime stop.
I saw one more Black Rock Shooter for someone to obtain in the Ottawa region. Go get her before she disappears! I saw her infront of the cash register :).
Diorama Studio is a more peaceful addition to the combat filled Battle Rondo program belonging to Konami’s Shinki-net. If you’re bored of getting you and your shinki’s pounded to submission then this might be the place for you and your fellow shinki(s) to rest. This studio is great forthose willing to hone or grow their photography and creativity skills.
Obtained Figma Saber Alter at my local Anime Stop today. Also went to my local Kiko Sushi Bar to eat out as I also planned out a figure photoshoot there in advance. Chopstick Kohiru joined me in some amusing photo-shootings as she attracted lots of attention. I hope you guys/gals don’t mind if I merge the review and Kohiru’s articles into one. Didn’t want to spam my own blog.
Another Shinki? Yes, another Shinki. This time I obtained Shinki Kohiru due to her high level of almost chibi (shrunk + deformed) like cuteness and because she would make for a great snacking partner due to her Chopstick affiliation. She also came with a “free” parts storage container.
Busou Shinki – Benio. I acquired her from my local AnimeStop for $38 CAD ($44 with taxes). Poor Benio was stuck on the store shelves for many moons/months without an owner to pick her up. I saw her many times during the winter when I still wasn’t interested in them. I’ve finally picked her up during the same year, and before Shinki Renge.
Hello again!
Thought I’d up a game article this time featuring Shinki-Net. I had too many Figma photoshoots going on and need some variety.
Shinki-net is an online game featuring miniature scale robot figures fighting 1 vs 1 with other highly customizable robotic figures. These figures (digitally and actual 1:1 scale) are mainly female and can be customized into any type of unique character. It’s up to you how you want to treat your Shinki, and how you want them to fight.
Christmasu Saber has arrived! Christmasu Saber? Guys/gals remember the Fate/Stay Night visual novel or Anime series? Fate/Extra adds another story line to that, probably similar to Fate/Hollow Ataraxia. Fate/Extra is supposed to be a J-RPG for the PSP that allows you to be a Master which would allow you to control a Servant.
Also would like to apologize for the image quality as I had to fight with overcast lighting.
I acquired another ex:ride on Friday, June 18, 2010 after a user on figure.fm notified me of this product. The certain user told me that our local AnimeStop had an ex:ride near the cashier via figure.fm‘s Puchi Blurbs so I called to place it on hold, rushed over, and purchased it. How much? $28 CAD – $33 with taxes.
Hey, went off to pick up my Figma Ein that I had on hold and discovered a bonus Figma product on my visit to the store. Which one? AnimeStop on Clyde – Merivale area. The ex:ride 004 wheel walker was a nice find and catch to go along side a stealthy Ein.
Hey, me and Kodama – Figure.fm profile – tried to do a Dannychoo.com/Figure.fm meet up at a very short notice. We met up but were hoping for more people. I should of had a little flag showing “d” in purple. It went well but it was only me and Kodama taking images of Figmas for three hours. Â I ended up being about 10 minutes late at the time, but did leave a warning that I’d be late as I was cycling – 3ish pm -> 6 pm. I also tried went to my local AnimeStop on the way to buy a Figma – Figma Emiya.
After a much needed “upgrade” to a low light sensitive camera along side with a few public taunts and teases I finally obtained a Lumix GF1. I’ve been waiting for months to acquire any sort of low-light friendly camera; last few weeks for the GF1 choice. Now I won’t have to struggle with night time or indoor shots as much under the picture and video mode, I hope ^^.
Two new figures have arrived at my doorstep – Valkyria Chronicle’s Alicia and Isara from the PS3 game and Anime. Both were ordered from HobbyLink Japan for $15 CAD each and have arrived within a week and two days. Valkyria Chronicles 2 is also advertised on back of both boxes.
Obtained another Figma and its Saber again. I tried to obtain her before from Play-Asia but they never did send me Saber, nor Shiro. Its probably due to the number of people pre-ordering or similar. This is my 8th Saber in my Fate/Stay night collection that are on two shelves in two glass cabinets; third Figma.
