Montreal’s Otakuthon – Palais des congres de Montreal

I went to Montreal’s Otakuthon which is hosted in Canada, Montreal - Palais des congres de Montreal. The event runs from the 13th till the 15th of August. I went on Saturday, August the 14th, 2010 to experience my first Anime convention and I believe it was well worth the trip taken.

Figma’s Cuban Vacation

A continuation of my trip as I’m a big Figma fan. I just had to bring my Figma’s along for this trip as I never really took images in Europe as they were all indoor shots. I brought Figma Haruhi and Revoltech Saber along with me to Europe back in August-September 2008. I brought Casual Saber and Signum to Sharbot Lake and now took summer Haruhi & Mikuru, Ryomou, and Casual Saber. Why? Why not? I love taking images of Figmas, even more so when on foreign lands.

Cuba Trip – 2010

Cuba! After being taunted and continuously “pushed” to go to Cuba by a friend I finally went along with him. I took off to Cuba on Thursday, May 27th, 2010 and returned yesterday (Friday, June 4th, 2010).  It was an excellent 7 day trip to Cuba with a great chance to experience a different lifestyle and way of life. I stayed at Playa de Oro, Varadero, and had a one day trip to Havana on a bus tour.

Sharbot Lake trip w/Figma Saber & Signum

For those that have been lurking on my forum may have noticed a “trend” of me saying “for a change of scenery I decided to  -here- to take pictures of Figmas“. Well, to continue that trend I shall now say:

For a change of scenery I decided to take pictures of my Figma’s outside of Ottawa, at Sharbrot Lake.

Only for Figmas? Of course not. I assisted with some minor tasks. Taking pictures of Figmas was just me taking advantage of different scenery.

Euro Trip 2008 – Pt 2 images

Finally I can host a gallery full of images from Europe! I remember an earlier blog I was going to split the European stuff into teaser bits but that never worked out. I instead killed all my galleries and plan to host a better one. I kept scanning the net for better galleries templates, but never could found one nice and simple enough to host onto. Google yesterday caught my attention so I decided to try it out (the links below).

Anime Withdrawal and Fever Symptoms

Anime withdrawal, it happens. What its official community known name isn’t known to me. I do call it a Anime Withdrawal. There is also Anime fever for short term obsessions.

Well, when we like something a lot we tend to dwell in it deep and try to explore every corner of it right? We dwell so much in a single area of our liking that we tend to get “withdrawal” symptoms  when we’re done with the certain something. It’s something were you can’t keep your mind off such an area for an extended period of time. I have felt the symptoms of Anime Withdrawal were I wanted to watch anime but couldn’t due to traveling, cultural, “real-life situations” and various other scenarios. All I could do was talk and think about Anime (even in non-anime areas), or just adapt to the new scenario/location.

Disclaimer: Everything I said is generalized or simplified so it can be listed with ease. Some things may not even be accurate because we each experience these symptoms differently and some things maybe confused or forgotten. Sources? Myself, other people, various sites and you guys/gals. I listed everything with what I experienced.

Haruhi Images – Part 3

Well I was at my friends to see his new synth so I took the opportunity to take pictures, and to also improve my indoor shooting skills. I tried out his synth (Korg R3) and I must say its a kick ass synth. Too bad I couldn’t record what I played on it since the recording softwares had some issues with the keyboard .

So here are the the damn clouds that harassed Ottawa late July till August 11th messing up my bike trips. This weather front corrupted my already messed up sleeping habit making me stay awake even longer during the night (or waking me up early but sleeping later).
