– If you look carefully you can see a plane on the structure.
This blog posting focuses on the day of July 24, 2022. The morning was “furious”. A “mute” morning trying not to peeve my friend off any more than we should. Got ready, headed out, and just did what we had to do. Failed to obtain anything from Tim Horton’s (a guy willing to let him in the lineup), instead angrily heading to the gas station. Morning angers. We eventually left for another town heading to another coffee place simmering down slightly. Good coffee, criticized for eating too much, and whatever. Awkward morning blues. It eventually led us to a light house with a foggy setting. It was so foggy my drone at one point refused to land, confused about ground level.
We stayed the night at Port Alberni. We headed towards Ucelete, and the various areas along the coastline. It was an angry morning, though still a gorgeous morning regardless.
– Lover these artistic murals.
– Making note of the trees, different from the rest.
– Cloud patches along the mountain lines.
– What I admire most about BC is the whole river thing. The rocky rivers, such as these ones.
– These lakes and rivers were insane, in a good way. I loved these views.
– Heading up towards a broken digital sign full of gibberish. It failed to function.
– That’s amazing.
– Stuck in a construction road block.
– Having a whale of a good time at Ucelete.
– Flower focus.
– Welcome to Ucluelet! And a random boot that was still there on the way back.
– Stopped off to get coffee while I went for a BLT & hot chocolate.
– Stopping off at an Amphitrite Lighthouse.
– Nice shot, if blurry.
– Listen! It makes a noise!
– Slightly better angle.
– Wild Pacific Trail.
– Various sealife.
– Panorama.
– This view was amazing, even if foggy. The view was raw, yet beautiful.
“Isn’t that illegal?”, to me flying a drone. I don’t know, is it?
After a few amusement moments, such as my friend holding a cup of coffee in his mouth (cup head) we wandered off to head to Long Beach near Tofino.
– What an insane sight. No kidding on the ‘long beach’ part. Even the crazy fogginess to further compliment the scenery.
– The “best” crab corpse there was.
– The way the foggy clouds moved was similar to a snow blizzard. Neat stuff.
– Potential “free-floating colonial tunicates”
– I love how clouds play with the scenery showing and hiding various scenic areas. To what we assumed to be an island was part of the nearby landmass curving in.
– Starfish.
– Loving the cloud game.
– Now, that’s an awesome sand fort.
– Tofino!
– Neat beware signs.
– Welcome to Tofino!
– Bear box! Love these sorts of artistic bins.
– Tofino van.
– I can always admire these sorts of artistic touches.
– The true Canadian experience.
– Panorama fun.
– More panorama.
– Third panorama for good measure.
– Was neat seeing cloud cover like a blanket off in the distance.
– 4th Panorama, because this area is cool.
– Tofino air, come fly with us.
– Some sticker signage.
– Breasts makes us smile.
– Zero emissions electric bus.
– Car spotting.
– Mearse Island, that-a-way!
– Dewey from Azur Lane using the AR feature. Needed to capture something Azur Lane related, hence this image. I should have been doing this more often.
With Tofino done, we headed back.
– Spotting the same truck I’ve noticed on my drone.
– Oh, the clouds have lifted. Nice.
While waiting a few announcements were made noting how the Ferry was late due to a stalled car. Another was how two folks climbed over a fence having to be called back in over the loud PA.
– Had to eat something so I took these. They were alright. One was better than the other with the sausage being trashy, or so I recall. Food is not great at these Ferry terminals.
– We all died laughing at how long this long boat canoe was. The lady in the truck even looked back at us.
A weird mood was to be had as my friends went one way and I went another trying to find a “quiet spot”. I took a few pictures, a few videos, and just tried to find a neat place to relax with my Steam Deck in hand. I walked full length of the Ferry’s top deck then relaxed in the lower passenger resting area.
– Evergreen.
– The vessel’s name? Coastal Inspiration.
– A lovely sunset.
– The floor plan for the Coastal Inspiration.
– Reaching Vancouver.
Drone Section – Lighthouse:
This is where we slowly began to mellow out talking to one another like human beings again. Get my drone going to admire the scenery, even in this condition.
– A very misty mourning at a lighthouse
– Very rough and foggy morning. Beautiful though.
– Droning around capturing various shots.
– Capturing both the light house and ourselves.
– Capturing angles only I could capture. No other “normal” tourist able to capture these cool shots.
– Admiring the seascape.
– Admiring the lighthouse capturing as many shots as possible.
– While walking I captured this shot using my drone.
When we reached the lower area of this area a person came up to me questioning if flying the drone was legal.
“Isn’t that illegal?” – Them “I don’t know, is it? – Me
I went back to flying my drone. I had a task to do.
– Couldn’t go that high, though still stunningly beautiful all the same.
