Busou Shinki – Benio. I acquired her from my local AnimeStop for $38 CAD ($44 with taxes). Poor Benio was stuck on the store shelves for many moons/months without an owner to pick her up. I saw her many times during the winter when I still wasn’t interested in them. I’ve finally picked her up during the same year, and before Shinki Renge.
With the amount of royal treatment that Saber Lily and Extra have been given, they both finally gained cabin fever. Lily being stuck for a year or two while Extra for a few weeks, who’d blame them?
Also, it appears the whole city of Ottawa is under-construction as everything is all dug up everywhere.
Rideau Canal Festival – Ottawa decided to host a mini Flotilla parade with lights at the Dow’s Lake Marina. They did so with Remote Control scaled vessels and with private boats decorated with lighting. The event also held a delayed 10 minute long fireworks.
This article is for the Festival that was hosted during Saturday, July 31st, 2010.
Thought I’d try something new with my camera. Might not be new to other serious photographers, but its new to me as I only used it once before during Winterlude 2010. I’m talking about using burst mode in an active location with your camera, then animating it into an animated .gif. I hope you find it to your liking. Oh, and since I added 13 gifs you may experience an internet slow down, or browser lag, depending on your computer set up. I apologize for that.
I also had Saber and Optimistic Penguin‘s blog mascot join me on the experiment as well.
Hello again!
Thought I’d up a game article this time featuring Shinki-Net. I had too many Figma photoshoots going on and need some variety.
Shinki-net is an online game featuring miniature scale robot figures fighting 1 vs 1 with other highly customizable robotic figures. These figures (digitally and actual 1:1 scale) are mainly female and can be customized into any type of unique character. It’s up to you how you want to treat your Shinki, and how you want them to fight.
Christmasu Saber has arrived! Christmasu Saber? Guys/gals remember the Fate/Stay Night visual novel or Anime series? Fate/Extra adds another story line to that, probably similar to Fate/Hollow Ataraxia. Fate/Extra is supposed to be a J-RPG for the PSP that allows you to be a Master which would allow you to control a Servant.
Also would like to apologize for the image quality as I had to fight with overcast lighting.
Konata decided to push me out just because she wanted to go to the local AnimeStop…..Well, enjoy the images and hope something in the below images are worth your interests.
Hello again! Just wanted to bring back the spotlight on some Gundam model kit images taken back around January. These image are from flickr so I hope they link back there when I exceed the 200 image mark again. What Gundam model kits? Just my Zaku 2, Gundam Rx-79[G], and Gundam Kyrios.
Thought I’d post an article about my Figma’s new flag collection. Nothing special, just that I wanted flags for my Figmas and so I could have them hold it in future Anime conventions or whatever. I’ve been searching for Canadian flag ones but couldn’t find one around me so I decided to craft my own. They look simple enough to make.
For those that missed round one may want to check it out before continuing onto round 2! Round one may be found here – My Favorite Anime – Top 7. Those within round one are my absolute favorite (as of May 26, 2010 and with some from before 2006 or 2003) that support the reason why I watch Anime in the first place. And by user request, here is round 2! Why 7? Youtube embed limit for trailers/OP’s.
With Canada Day being somewhat prolonged into a long weekend I thought I’d extend it into one more article. I would also like to take the time to wish the Americans a Happy Independence Day! We get to celebrate our nation’s birthday in a short period of time. I’m merging Saturday and Sunday morning into this article as there aren’t that many pictures.
(All images and video taken with a Lumix GF1 – Pancake lens.)
(Side-note: No American related images, sorry :(. Images may also be random, though still somewhat fit with article.)
Happy Canada Day everybody! It’s Canada’s 143rd birthday. Lets go take a look at how our fellow Canadians in the National capital are up to. Pardon the belated post up, can’t post as swiftly on Canada Day due to parties ^^.
Ein and Yoko decided to venture out to Andrew Haydon Park during a nice bright day. With a day that started off insanely chilly ended up being a nice warm and breezy day.
Ottawa holds a Rib Cook-off every year for a few days for locals and tourists to try out. I decided to give this event an article this time around because I didn’t give one to it last year. I also encountered Ein on Parliament Hill where I tried to eat my chicken and ribs in peace.
Canada, Ottawa had a nice rattle at 1:40 pm-ish that caused a few windows to break in downtown Ottawa. I was in my room during that time simply chatting on figure.fm when everything in my room started rattling worse then when a furniture truck rumbles by near me. Â I screamed “Earthquake!” on the chat heh.
(Sidenote/Disclaimer: I’m aware there are worse earthquakes out there that actually kill. I’m not trying to dramatize, just simply record “interesting” Â events within my life.)
